What was broken and why it mattered
Decades of production data lived on paper forms, clipboards, and tribal knowledge. Several attempts to digitize had already failed — not because of technology, but because the people doing the work were never truly understood. The real problem wasn't digitization. It was adoption.

I led a 6-designer team through discovery, strategy, and end-to-end execution across three platforms — admin, leader, and operator. I ran on-site research across multiple plants, defined the design principles that guided every decision, and used usability data to defend those decisions when stakeholder pressure pushed in a different direction.

The platform launched in the first three plants with operators adopting it without disruption to their shifts — the first time a digital tool had achieved this. Core journeys reached a 92% task completion rate, with a full rollout to all 36 facilities now underway.
